AH FINALLY, the elves. I was thinking they were gonna appear during the fight with the Devil but this timing is understandable too.

Half of your squad is dead, your ex-vice captain left bc he a puss, you where away, and Zenon beat you with like 55-60% devil powers while your captain was f'ed and the Black Bulls played checkers with 80%. Not to mention, Yami was captured because your so-called best squad couldn't handle the heat. Sorry OP side character."

But don't forget yami was fighting at his full potential and no one was holding him back while vangeance was protecting his squad members. And as for yuno he defeated a guy who was using 40% of devil power alone and was injured when he went to fight zenon

We are talking overall here right? Because Yuno is not saying "I am the best knight", he said the Golden Dawn was the best squad (every knight as a whole). Vengance was protecting everyone else, sure, but so was Yami. As you said, no one was holding Yami back because the Bulls can actually handle themselves. The Golden Dawn knights couldn't really do anything, therefore, Vengance had to play patty cake.

Yuno may have beat a 40% Devil Power User but so can Asta and Yami. The only reason neither one of them defeated their foe was because he kept increasing his power, but they didn't really lose. And if we take into consideration that they Vice Captain left (their third hardest hitter), the fact that there are more knights in the Golden Dawn than the Black Bulls, etc. Yuno's notion doesn't really make sense (even if he was injured, we know he has invinsible and underserved plot armor). If they really where the best they could have at least stayed, well ALIVE. I'm not saying they had to beat their opponent but the worst outcome for a team is losing the team permanently.

I was only taking the Golden Dawn a few pegs because even though I don't think the title is completely untrue, since they where the best squad once up a time, just not right now.

If you actually looks at the fight, Golden Dawn vs Zenon fight, Zenon attack goes to everyone, hence Vengance need to fight while protecting everyone. While during Black Bull vs Dante, Dante attack only focused of Yami (and Asta after he rejoin the fight) and didn't attack the others anymore. Plus Vengance fight indoor, while Yami fight outdoor. Its a big difference.
While i do agree that Black Bull are the squad best atm, but you cannot give a reasoning of why its the best from a 2 completely different fight. If the enemy and place switched, there is big chances that Black Bull would lost at least 1 of its member.

While the indoor and outdoor is a valid point, I did think about that when I wrote my comment. The reason why I think it doesn't hold as much merit is because the Golden Dawn HQ is actually massive and considering the range of the enemy's power, size wouldn't matter. If anything, Vengace's magic is actually perfect to fight Zenon. They are both very similar in how they can be used. While Yami's single target damage is beyond that of any other captain, Vengance's flexibility made him the best option to fight Zenon. If the roles where reserved there might be three scenarios for both the Bulls and the Golden dawn. The Golden Dawn would fight outdoors with Zenon (which would have still ended in tragedy) or fight Dante indoors (Dante would have killed a lot of the Golden Dawn because he probably didn't find people with the level of magic he wanted. Or maybe he would have? Who knows). The last option is fighting Dante outside as the Golden Dawn. It would have been easier for Vengance to just take people away but as Vengance isn't that strong, Dante would have just punched through and killed everyone. We do have to consider that although Dante was fixated on Yami, the only reason he couldn't just easily go after whoever he wanted was because of how strong the bulls where. In the scenario that the Golden Dawn had more space, Zenon would have used his range to take everyone out and Dante would have found everyome weak and killed them as well. If the Bulls fought Zenon instead, HQ would have most likely surrounded them to minimize casualties. We still don't know how Asta's magic reacts with Zenon's magic but we could probably asume that he can cut it and so can Yami. Most of the Golden Dawn don't use slashing magic so it makes sense that the Bulls would be able to get something going. Funny enough, there where still a lot of Black Bulls members missig, whereas only the Vice was missing on the Golden Dawn (official members). The numbers of the Golden Dawn should have at least proved difficult for Zenom as I know for a fact that the Golden Dawn has all of the cherry picked magic knights.
